Pokémon UNITE will stop working on 23 March 2027, and no other game combines Pokémon, short team-objective matches and release on both Switch and phones. The Pokémon Company’s notice, dated 27 October 2026, ends service at 00:00 UTC on both Nintendo Switch and mobile and gives no reason.

The money side changed immediately. Aeos gem sales and new UNITE Club memberships stopped on 27 October, gems you own stay usable until the end, and the notice does not address refunds. Below are six games worth moving to, ranked by how well they replace UNITE for Switch or mobile players.

What actually happens between now and March

The shutdown is staged. A 12 November update adds a special event and a library feature, and 5 December starts qualifiers for the Aeos Crown 2027 Tokyo tournament. To keep viewing records, licenses and Holowear after the servers close, you must finish the library’s data download first. Library data generally cannot be moved between devices, and support ends with the service.

What you are really replacing

UNITE was never a conventional lane MOBA: it stripped out last-hitting and item shopping in favor of team objectives and short matches. Wild Rift keeps the short mobile match but adds lane complexity, while Heroes of the Storm keeps the objective focus but is frozen and PC only. Pokémon Champions keeps the franchise but changes the genre. Decide which of the three you value most.

Check the platform before the genre

Five of the six games here are not on Switch. If you play UNITE on a Switch, the realistic options are Pokémon Champions or moving to a phone. SMITE 2’s announced platforms are PC, Xbox and PlayStation, and Wild Rift’s store listing covers phones.
